Questions Lenders Ask

Can goods be delivered in parts?

Yes. The bank authorises each tranche in writing, VSM releases and delivers that quantity, and cover is recalculated on the stock that remains.

Who moves the goods?

VSM with its logistics partner, Multilines Logistics. VSM staff accompany the consignment.

When does the buyer receive the goods?

Only after the bank confirms the funds and issues the release order.

What if quantities differ on arrival?

VSM checks quantities at loading and offloading and reports any difference to the bank with the delivery records.

How a Mandate Starts

  1. We review the goods, the site and the release process with you.
  2. The bank, the borrower and VSM sign a tripartite Collateral Management Agreement.
  3. We take control of the goods and report to the bank until it orders their release.
